DOWN BUT NOT OUT

Getting some dental work done today. Definitely bummed out. I will still be performing at The Forks for Canada Day, and at TCB on Thursday. Keep an eye on my social media for more updates

BACK ON TRACK

I hope you’re doing well and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to check out my site today. Let me get you caught up with what’s been doing on in our world…

We’ve started looking at offers for events in Western Canada following COVID. Many amazing businesses and events are looking for ways to keep alive during this period, and we are right there with them. I already have a few solo bookings within Winnipeg this summer. I do miss performing, but I am also thankful that during this period I was able to work-on and record new music. The time off the front lines and in the home studio has helped me rekindle my love for recording music. I used to record for hours and hours when I was younger. Lately I was wondering why I didn’t feel the need to do it anymore, but that has all changed and I’m really happy about it.

I’ve been steadily writing music for a few weeks now, and I am happy to say I am half way through tracking the bed tracks for my new album. What’s a bed track? It’s kind of the foundation for the house. I have been drumming and playing guitars on these new songs. It’s a fun process, but definitely can get tiring at times! With the heat peaking over 30 degrees it is hot in here, especially if you’re playing an instrument. I’m very excited to be getting through all this new material though, and I can’t wait to share it with you when it’s finished!

I am working on brand new merchandise designs for the store, and we’ve started looking at new manufacturers which will allow me to start putting out music on media I always wanted to. I’m in the process of building these new supplier relationships, and once I have everything hashed out I’m going to be making a few posts about the exciting new products you’ll be able to get your hands on.

Music festivals? I have people asking me continuously about Howl At The Moon. Most people don’t realize that I walked away from this festival back in January well-before any of the current measures were put in place. I do feel for the former team, but I am happy to announce that I won’t be completely leaving the event production realm. Instead we’ll be going back and focusing on Golden Oak Record Co.’s former event series. Right now we are waiting for many of the regulations to relax, and once they do, you’ll be able to look forward to more Rattlesnake, Saddle Up, and everything else we plan so you can have a great time.

That’s it for today. I hope you have a great week! Remember to pop on to spotify and follow my account, or scroll to the bottom of this page to do it more easily! Thanks for reading.
